Divorcing Boris flogging marital home for £3.8m

DIVORCING Tory love cheat Boris Johnson has put his former family home in London on the market for £3.75million.

He had shared the five-floor, Grade-II listed Georgian pad in Islington with estranged barrister wife Marina Wheeler.

The couple, who have four kids, revealed their split last September and the four-bed house is being sold by estate agent Chesterton­s.

It was advertised for rent earlier this year at £2,000 a week but it is unclear if tenants ever moved in.

The property changed hands for £1.9million in December 2005, records show. It is not known if this is when Mr Johnson bought it.

He is 11/4 to succeed Theresa May and has had £130,000 of donations and a £20,000 loan with parliament­ary authoritie­s in the past year. His best-funded rival is Environmen­t Secretary Michael Gove, who is yet to declare if he will stand but has had £40,250 of donations or IOUs, the register of MPs’ financial interests reveals.

A spokesman for Mr Johnson declined to comment on the house.
