PEP GUARDIOLA has warned his Manchester City players he is ready to shake up their double title-winning squad this summer.

Guardiola can become the first manager in England to win the domestic Treble if he can lead City to victory over Watford in the FA Cup Final at Wembley today. City have already bagged the Premier League and League Cup this term, but Guardiola is prepared to get ruthless to land more trophies. That will require changes, with Vincent Kompany, Leroy Sane, Ilkay Gundogan, Fabian Delph, Nicolas Otamendi and Claudio Bravo all potentially

“I’m not going to say how many players will leave because it depends on many things,” said Guardiola.

“Every player has to feel ‘I have to play good or I don’t play’ if you want to be consistent after what we’ve done these two seasons.

“They have to feel, ‘I have to win again, if not I have problems, I’m in trouble, I can not be any longer here’.

“People say how beautiful it is, but we have to win again and again and again and the players have to feel that.

“It was incredible, but from the first day of next season we start from zero and I have to see what I’ve seen in these last three seasons, especially in terms of results.”

Sane, 23, has two years left on his current contact but has so far not committed to a new deal, with Bayern Munich monitoring his situation.

Guardiola wants Sane to sign a new deal, but the longer the winger stalls on extending, the more precarious his future becomes. “With Leroy, we are one-and-a-half years trying to sign his new contract,” added Guardiola.

“We want him. If you want to extend his contract, it’s because you want him.”
