COMMUNITY leaders and a Labour MP have called on voters to reject far-right extremist Tommy Robinson in the EU Parliament elections.

It comes after it emerged that thug Robinson, 36, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, used the Manchester Arena bombing to try to spread his rabid Islamophobic views.

He is attempting to be elected as a North West MEP.

The Mirror has uncovered tweets from Robinson sent in the days following the 2017 attack, which killed 22 people.

One draws attention to what he believes are Muslims in charge of security at the concert. Manchester Central MP, Labour’s Lucy Powell, said: “We must stop him getting a platform to spread his evil.” Mohammed Shafiq, of the Ramadhan Foundation, said: “He is a deeply racist individual, interested in division, not tackling hatred in society.” A statement posted on Robinson’s website said he does not criticise Muslims but Islam. Meanwhile, one of Labour’s top donors, tycoon John Mills, says the party should reindustrialise the UK to see off Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party.

EXTREMIST Police with the iced coffee drinkers NIGEL Farage was temporarily stuck on his campaign bus yesterday amid fears three men wearing balaclavas would pelt him with milkshakes.

It came two days after the Brexit Party leader was doused in Newcastle.

Another two men with iced coffees shouted anti-Farage slogans at the rally in Rochester, Kent, are were approached by the police.

Bus driver Michael Botton said: “The police are there. Nigel isn’t getting off.”

Mr Farage did later pose for photos. The UK is electing 73 MEPs to the European Parliament. Registered UK voters can vote for a party, not a candidate. Seats are split between 12 regions in Britain. Votes are counted for each party in each region and seats are allocated using a mathematical formula.

Hundreds of councils will count the votes, with a single final declaration for each region.

Apart from a small part of Scotland, results are expected between 10pm on Sunday and about 2.30am on Monday.
