Love Island stars set to get rich from social media posts

THE stars of Love Island are set to rake in the cash by endorsing products after they leave, say experts.

Contestant­s could make as much as £15,000 for a single Instagram post, as the controvers­ial ITV2 show returned last night for a fifth series.

With hopefuls including Tommy Fury, 20, brother of boxer Tyson, 30, and Curtis Pritchard, 23, brother of Strictly dancer AJ, 24, ratings are set to be higher than ever.

And the contestant­s are due to make more cash than ever as social media “influencer­s”.

Jannic Nielssen, influencer marketing manager for Ranieri Agency, explains: “Coming out of the villa, contestant­s can expect to earn £2,000£15,000 per post on

And, as this year’s islanders already have tens of thousands of Instagram followers, they are set to earn more than ever.

Jannic says: “This year’s contestant­s are influencer­s before going into the villa. They’ve got the following already, and may be earning up to £2,000 for sponsored posts.

“They know what to expect when they come off the show – just on a much bigger scale.”
