FOUND Macauley Negus A LIVERPOOL fan reported missing in Madrid has been found safe after allegedly being arrested by police.

Macauley Negus, 23, was seen lying in the street and two officers went to his aid.

But he was “very drunk”, and “punched and kicked the officers, who suffered minor injuries,” it is alleged.

Sources said police had a missing person’s report but didn’t realise he was the man who had been held.

It is understood his name was logged as Mac Kullen.

Negus, of Plymouth, Devon, had gone to Spain with dad Darren to mark the Champions League finals.

He was last seen at 10.30pm on Saturday and found at 10.30am yesterday.

Brother Ashley thanked people for their help “during this tough time”. A DEVOTED Liverpool fan missed his team’s Champions League final victory because his ticket was stolen as he travelled to the stadium. Mark Challinor, 57, was left distraught after a pickpocket swiped his wallet on a train in Madrid. He said he was “in a state of panic” when he realised the wallet GUTTED Fan Mark containing the ticket had been nicked. The media consultant added: “You live for moments like seeing your team lift the European Cup – now I’ve missed it.”

Desperate Mark showed the ticket office a copy of his £160 ticket – obtained via the club ballot – on his phone but they told him it was a police matter.

He said: “I ended up at a police station about 20 minutes away and there were a dozen or so fans in the same situation.

“I gave up in the end and went to watch the first half [in a bar] with a Spurs fan who I befriended. At half-time I went back to the police station because I thought there was a chance they’d help.

“But all I did was give them a statement and ended up missing the whole second half.

“Being in Madrid and experiencing the build-up to the game was amazing. But to then miss it because someone stole my wallet is heart-wrenching.

“My friend in the stadium said my seat was empty all game. The person who took my wallet only wanted the cash.” Mark, who lives in Canary Wharf, East London, but is originally from Childwall, Liverpool, made his way back into the Spanish city to celebrate the 2-0 victory over Spurs, but he said the occasion was “tainted”.

Mark, an Anfield season-ticket holder for 45 years, said governing body UEFA’s handling of his nightmare at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium was “shambolic”.

He added that UEFA should bring in email tickets with barcodes to replace paper ones.
