Chris, left, and Melania after they were punched SHAKEN and in pain, a couple are pictured covered in blood after they were attacked for refusing demands from baying thugs to kiss.

Melania Geymonat, 28, and her girlfriend Chris were punched by the gang of at least four males on a bus.

The women were treated in hospital for facial injuries.

The ordeal in the early hours began when the yobs realised that the women are in a relationship.

Melania said: “They started behaving like hooligans, demanding we kissed so they could enjoy watching.

“It was only them and us there. In an attempt to calm things down, I started making jokes but they kept harassing us.”

She said her girlfriend was attacked moments later. Melania added “three of them [were] beating her up”, and that Chris’s face was bleeding.

Melania, who tried to intervene, said: “The next thing I know is I’m being punched. I got dizzy at the sight of my blood and fell back. I don’t remember whether or not I lost consciousness.

“Suddenly the bus had stopped, police were there and I was bleeding all over.”

Melania, who has worked for Ryanair as a flight attendant, said her nose may have been broken by the thugs.

Before running off, the yobs also stole a phone and a bag from the couple who were heading for Chris’s home in Camden, North West London. Police said four males aged from 15 to 18 were arrested yesterday on suspicion of robbery and aggravated GBH.

Officers added the victims, both in their 20s, were subjected to “lewd and homophobic comments” then were “punched several times”.

Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said: “We must not accept this homophobic and misogynist violence.”

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said hate crimes against gay people will not be tolerated.
