We are on different but I’ll always there for him...

PRINCE Harry has confirmed a rift with his brother William saying they have had “bad days”.

The Duke of Sussex, 35, opened up to ITV News anchor Tom Bradby in the film Harry and Meghan: An African Adventure, which aired at 9pm last night.

Bradby said: “It has been a year of big change, with all the complications that brings. This includes the decision to split his office off from that of his brother, to whom he has always been close.”

The news presenter then asked about the truth behind speculation of a rift.

Harry said: “Part of this role and part of this job and this family being under the pressure that it’s under inevitably, you know, stuff happens.

“But look, we’re brothers. We’ll always be brothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him and, as I know, he’ll always be there for me.

“You know, we don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy. But I love him dearly and, you know, the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing. Just as I said, as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days.”

The documentary was made during Harry and Meghan’s recent tour of southern Africa. A royal source said senior royals are “concerned”, adding: “Harry and William’s relationship is desperately sad. They’re going completely separate ways and Harry is the one who seems to be visibly struggling.

“It seems the boy who walked behind their mother’s coffin, which is so vividly seared on to the nation’s consciousness, has never fully recovered, which is an utter tragedy. Charles has sought to help the young men, even that hasn’t helped.

“Many inside the family have said how seeing her sons drifting apart would be the last thing Diana would have wanted.”

In the film the 38-year-old Duchess spoke of the “really challenging” time of being a new mother in the spotlight.

An emotional Meghan said pregnancy is a “really vulnerable” time.

The Duke and Duchess have been criticised for taking private flights while campaigning about climate change.

And interviews by Meghan’s estranged dad Thomas, who did not attend their 2018 nuptials, have no doubt not helped.

The stress of being in the public eye has taken its toll on Harry who revealed he has struggled with his mental health which is under “constant management”.

He said: “Look part of this job… means turning a cheek to this stuff. But for me and my wife there is a lot of stuff that hurts, especially when it is untrue.”

Meghan added: “I’ve said for a long time to H – that’s what I call him – it’s not enough to just survive something, right? You’ve got to feel happy.

“I tried to adopt this British sensibility of a stiff upper lip. But I think what that does internally is probably really damaging. I never thought this would be easy. But I thought it would be fair. That’s the part that’s hard to reconcile.”

Bradby posed the argument that living with “incredible power, privilege, fame and wealth” comes with scrutiny.

Meghan said: “You have no idea. It’s really hard to understand what it’s like.

“The good thing is I’ve got my baby and my husband and they’re the best.”

We don’t see each other as much as we used to.. but I love him DUKE OF SUSSEX ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH WILLS
