Toddlers ‘not tasting veg’

ALMOST half of toddlers have tried a crisp before tasting greens.

A study for baby food Ella’s Kitchen also found almost 40% tuck into chips before carrots and one in six have pizza before peas.

Of 1,500 parents quizzed, half worry their under-five does not eat enough vegetables.

Yet two-thirds will not feed them things they do not like themselves.

Chief executive Mark Cuddigan urged patience, adding: “It can take eight tries for tiny taste buds to accept the taste of veg.”
