Dear Santa: Can I have a new PM for Xmas, please

For the many not the flu...

PRIDE comes before a fall and arrogant Boris Johnson has a long way to plummet.

This cynical liar, an incompetent, tawdry, lazy, entitled, untrustworthy, slime-ball, might be in for the shock of his privileged life.

This election is far from in the bag for Alexander Boris de Piffle Johnson, who mistakenly behaves as if the world owes him a comfortable living.

What the past few months have proved is that the Old Etonian, who lied to the Queen and failed to deliver his Halloween Brexit, quite simply is not up to the job of Prime Minister.

He deserves to be sacked after flunking the probationary period, stumbling from disaster to disaster.

The Grinch who declared outside No 10 only last month, “I don’t want an election, you don’t want an election”, risks a ferocious backlash for stealing our Christmas.

Voters dragged into polling booths in office party season will send him a P45 if they only stop and think.

Naked ambition is the reason he is desperate to stage the first December election since 1923.

Give Johnson a Tory majority and why would he deliver even Brexit when he will be unaccountable for five years? This is a user who does what is best for him, no one else.

Conservative economic policy is a calamity that has left average takehome pay worth £23 less than it was a decade ago.

Austerity is not over. It’s in the Tory DNA and Johnson is playing Santa when he is actually Scrooge.

And anybody who thinks the NHS is safe in the hands of Trump’s mini-me should see a doctor.

Ludicrously regarding himself heir to Winston Churchill, Johnson ignores the fact his hero was voted out before war ended in 1945, as people voted to win the peace, not fight old battles.

Jeremy Corbyn and Labour are up against it – but with a message of hope they can defeat Johnson.

ILLNESS and bad weather could become crucial factors in our general elections in the future which will now have to be held in the winter.

The Fixed-term Parliaments Act says the poll must be five years after the last one.

This would take us to December 2024, unless MPs vote to change the law again.

A review of the FTPA is being undertaken by MPs and peers and it is likely the law will be scrapped or changed.
