DRIZZLING extra virgin olive oil on food may stave off forms of dementia.
It is already known to help slow cardiovascular disease and protect the brain against Alzheimer’s.
But research on mice found it may also defend against age-related conditions called “tauopathies”, the build-up of tau protein.
Prof Domenico Pratic, of Philadelphia’s Temple University, hopes to “learn more about the mechanisms through which [oil] supports brain health”.
SIR Rod Stewart is upset Prince Harry and Meghan are not spending Christmas with Queen because, at 93, she may not have many left.
