Hols saviour in jobs boost

NATIONAL Apprentice Week kicks off today with a boost from the firm that took over Thomas Cook.

Hays Travel is opening the doors of 89 branches to young people hoping for holiday industry careers.

The Sunderland-based firm has 699 openings, with boss John Hays saying: “Apprentice­s are at the heart of our business.” ■ Many parents fear apprentice­ships mean dull chores like making tea, says a poll for Mumsnet.

The model and businesswo­man, 48, had returned to the show last weekend with her new partner Oscar Peter, a week after she and her former skating partner Hamish Gaman parted ways.

She was originally paired with Hamish, but during a live broadcast last month, it was announced they would not skate together any more after clashing in training.

A statement issued by Caprice’s publicist said: “It’s true that Caprice is no longer participat­ing in Dancing On Ice. It’s been a hard few months and she’s had to keep silent for contractua­l reasons.

in the way she had been treated by ITV after the incident with Hamish which saw them split and she also felt bullied.

Hamish, who has remained on the hit ITV show, addressed their split for the first time this week on social media. He said:
