QUESTIONS Louis on show

LOUIS Tomlinson has said he is boycotting BBC Breakfast and criticised hosts Louise Minchin and Dan Walker after appearing on the show yesterday.

He accused the pair of “proper going in” on him for asking him about grief following the deaths of his mother and sister.

After the interview, Louis said: “Defo wont be going on there again.”

He also accused them of talking about his grief for “gossip” purposes.

Host Walker tried to build bridges with the former One Direction star.

He said: “Sorry you feel like that. No intention to upset you or be ‘gossipy’. That’s not our style.”

One of the tracks on his album, Walls, is about the death of mum Johannah.

A BRITON who felt unwell on the second coronavirus evacuation flight from China will be told today whether or not he has the disease.

Anthony May-Smith has undergone tests and is being cared for at a hospital in Oxford where he was put in isolation after landing at RAF Brize Norton.

He had “a bit of a cough and a sore throat” so was isolated with 30 others on the flight out of Wuhan to France.

When boarding in France for the final leg home on Sunday he made himself known and was isolated from the other 10 flying to the Oxfordshire air base.

He said: “I feel fine now, I think it’s probably the stress of getting back and being run down more than anything. I’m waiting for the test results to come back.”

His 10 fellow passengers were taken to the vacated staff accommodation block at Arrowe Park Hospital in Birkenhead, Merseyside, where the first plane load of 83 passengers are already being held in quarantine for 14 days. The new patients were taken to a separate area as a precaution.

Janelle Holmes, chief executive of Arrowe Park, said: “Staff are following strict clinical guidance and protocols to ensure everyone remains safe.”

Those in quarantine have praised the “amazing kindness” of local people who have showered them with gifts including wine, toys, magazines, knitwear, books, games, and slippers. Vicki Sullivan wrote on Facebook: “Just wanted to say thank you so much for all your kind words, donations and support. We all feel so welcome and quite overwhelmed with just how much people have been doing to help us. Many people had so little time to pack before leaving their homes that it really has made all the difference. The staff at Arrowe Park have been wonderful too. You are all absolute heroes.”

Fellow patient Kharn Lambert said they were in “good spirits” and “good health”. He shared a video from the facility, showing how patients are allowed fresh air but cannot pass a tall metal fence, guarded by police. Adding his praise for locals, he said: “Thanks from the bottom of our hearts. You’ve given us hope in humanity again.”

EXHAUSTED Medics fighting coronavirus at hospital in China

Anthony felt ill before flying back the last evacuation flights for British nationals are set to leave this week. More than 17,450 cases have been confirmed in China, where 361 have died. There are more than 150 confirmed cases worldwide, and one death in the Philippines.

Exhausted doctors in China have been sleeping on hospital floors as they tackle the virus. A baby there has been born to a mum in virus isolation.

The two confirmed cases in the UK are being treated in the infectious diseases unit at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary. Some £20 million of Government funding is going towards the development of a coronavirus vaccine.

■ Evacuee Michael Martin has claimed a Foreign Office official kept his newborn son’s birth certificate from authorities so the Chinese citizen baby would be allowed to fly to Britain with him.
