Medals from 2 world wars stolen in raid
PRIZED Diary and medals
MEDALS awarded to two generations of one family in the two world wars were stolen by heartless raiders.
Three belonged to the victim’s grandfather David Roberts, who served with the Royal Navy during the First World War.
A page from his diary was also stolen in the raid.
Four, including the Burma Star, were awarded to the victim’s dad Jack Roberts, an aircraft engineer with the RAF.
One belonged to the victim’s mum, who had been a WRAF radar officer.
Ribbons torn from the medals were found near the raided property in Fallowfield, Manchester.
The victim said: “I am in total disgust that these lowlifes would take them then desecrate them by cutting off the ribbons.”
ACTOR Robert Pattinson has been declared the most beautiful man in the world under the “Golden Ratio of Phi” measure of physical perfection.
Cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva used computerised mapping to give the star, 33, a Golden Ratio rating of 92.15%. The Witcher actor
Henry Cavill, 36, was second at 91.08%. David Beckham, 44, was only seventh at 88.96%, but had a near-perfect nose and lips ratio.
Previous winner George Clooney, 58, was fifth at 89.91%. Dr De Silva said he fell from the top slot “because of the toll nature has taken”.
