A PIECE of music composed by Chris Martin aged 12 is up for sale.

The track, called Electric Thunder, won a music competition at Exeter Cathedral School.

The Coldplay star’s piece was uncovered by fellow pupil Simon Corser, 40, of Chorley, Lancs.

He said: “The whole school were humming it after he played it.”

The cassette has an estimate of £600 at Omega Auctions of Merseyside when sold on February 25.

FUQAN AHMED AFTER HE RECEIVED HIS SHIRT PRIZE

A COUNTY cricket club had to come up with a special delivery when its shirt competition was won by a fan in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Officials at Somerset had to send the item to Fuqan Ahmed’s remote home, 5,000 miles away in Hangu, Pakistan, on the border with Afghanistan.

They had warned Fuqan the replica

shirt of Pakistani batsman Babar Azam may not reach him.

But Somerset’s Ben Warren attached a photo of the winner and a map marker of his address to the parcel and two weeks later the prize arrived.

Fuqan, who won the shirt by commenting on a club page Facebook post, was thrilled.

Proudly wearing the shirt, he messaged the club: “I will never forget this moment.

“Thank you 1 million times and I will always follow my beloved Somerset. Thanks for your gift.”

Club social media manager Ben, 28, said: “We have never sent anything to Pakistan before.

“He just happened to send us a photo of himself so we decided to pop it on the parcel. We sent it by recorded delivery and the postal service said they chances of it getting to him were very slim.

“So when Furqan messaged us it was an incredible feeling.”

Ben said Furqan is now a Somerset fan for life and will follow matches via the club’s live streaming service.

Thank you 1 million times, I will always follow my beloved Somerset
