It seems we’re in an era of revamps. With Rylan Clark-Neal already hosting the rebooted Supermarket Sweep, now he brings us the return of this daytime cookery contest, 10 years after it was last on our screens.
And you’ll be pleased to hear it’s just like it always was – from the late 90s when Fern Britton hosted through to Ainsley Harriott’s run from 2000 to 2010.
Rylan, as always, makes for a fabulous host as the green peppers do battle with the red tomatoes, while cooking on a budget.
Each episode sees two contestants paired with a chef to help them create dishes from their chosen ingredients. Then they have just 10 minutes to create another meal from audience ingredients cards.
This time couple Gemma and Brian, from Falkirk, are joined by chefs Anna Haugh and Mike Reid.
Brian is a whizz in the kitchen, but Gemma’s speciality is grilled beans on toast. Say no more.

Jimmy McGovern’s powerful series returns, showcasing more compelling characters who are at a turning point in their lives.
Don’t be put off that it’s a daytime drama, the episodes are easily gritty and gripping enough to be primetime.
This episode follows Joe, played by Tom McKay, who is released from prison for a crime he says he didn’t commit.
With four months remaining of his sentence, he receives a discharge
Joe tries to woo single mum Lisa grant of just £46 and is driven to a hostel, where a security worker fits an electronic tag to his ankle.
But it’s a demeaning experience and he struggles to get work.
“I’m not an ex-offender, my conscience is clear,” he says. But procedure makes life impossible.
A former champion swimmer, he’s buoyed by the fact that his waterproof tag allows him to swim at his local pool where he meets single mum Lisa (Angel Coulby). But the romance is jeopardised when he neglects to tell her about the tag and his curfew…
