BEN DAVIES has urged his Preston team-mates not to blow their promotion chances in the business end of the season.

The Lilywhites have a two-point cushion in the race for the play-offs as they welcome in-form QPR today.

Defender Davies said: “You work hard through the winter months to build up to put yourself in a good position and we are happy with where we are. We have to do what is needed now.”

Davies (right) played in the League Two play-offs with York City in 2014 and the League One play-offs with Fleetwood in 2017 – and hopes his play-off pain can help propel Preston to the Premier League.

“They are good experiences to have,” he added. “And we are more than capable of going on.”

PHILLIP COCU expects to see Derby climb the table if they can repeat Thursday night’s performance against Manchester United.
