FROM BACK PAGE demolition of Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth on Saturday, taking his tally to 15 in all competitions this season.

The 18-year-old is making an emphatic case to be included in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad to face Iceland and Denmark in September in the rescheduled UEFA Nations League.

And Solskjaer is convinced that Greenwood is ready for his first full cap.

The United boss insists that the youngster’s ability to handle the pressure and expectations on him at Old Trafford means that playing for England will hold no fears at all.

“When you play for Manchester United, I think that’s a test that is good enough and difficult enough,” said Solskjaer.

“If you can handle playing for United, then you can handle playing for any team, and Mason’s got the qualities that not many other players have.

“So he could play for the full England team or the Under-21s – I don’t really mind. I know he is doing well for us and it’s great to have him here.

“Mason is a naturally good finisher, so he will always score goals.

“He’s a humble boy, he wants to learn, he listens and he works hard.

“Mason is one of the best, if not the best, finisher I have worked with and seen. He is so calm.

“He knows where to finish, whether it is on the training ground, here, or in his garden at home.

“You can see his fitness is getting better and better.

“He’s a young boy who will fill out, he’s exciting to work with, and we will keep on building him up in the gym and on the pitch.”
