SHOPPERS are set to face a whole new world as masks become compulsory in stores.

As of next Friday anyone going to a corner shop, high street giant or supermarke­t, will have to cover up – or risk a £100 fine.

After weeks of mixed messages from the Government, many are confused by the move.

So we’ve asked a panel of experts the key questions...

Why is wearing a mask important?

Martin McKee, professor of European public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, says: “We know much more about this virus.

How should the mask fit around my face?

Prof John Ashton, former regional head of Public Health for the North West, says: “It should fit snug over your nose and mouth.” Should I change my mask during the day?
