World population set to fall
A CHARITY that provides Lego sets for critically ill children has been ransacked by thieves.
Raiders are thought to have made off with 15,000 toys worth £400,000.
Staff at Fairy Bricks arrived to find a scene of “utter devastation” at their Huddersfield warehouse.
Their van was also stolen but later recovered.
The charity donates sets to hospitals, hospices and, more recently, NHS staff.

THE number of people on Earth is set to fall for the first time since before the Black Death in 1350.
Forecasts published in the Lancet say the world’s population will increase from 7.8 billion now to 9.7 billion in 2064, before falling to 8.8 billion by 2100.
The project, funded by Microsoft founder Bill Gates, analysed the consequences of fewer people having children.
