Diet pioneer died aged 91
CAMBRIDGE Diet pioneer Dr Alan Howard has died at 91 after battling cancer.
Dr Howard developed the formula diet that claimed to include all the daily requirements of vitamins and minerals without exceeding 450 calories.
It launched in 1984 and has been followed by 30 million people worldwide.
He died in Cannes, France, last month, after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by daughter Julie Lambert and son Jon Howard.
