ALL-ROUNDER INGS CAN COMPOSE A NEW BEATT

-

vDANNY INGS has been hailed as Southampton’s Jack of all trades and master of one by manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.

The on-fire striker (above) can become the first Saints player to hit 20 Premier League goals in a season since James Beattie in 2003 if he scores against Brighton.

But according to Hasenhuttl, it’s not just Ings’ predatory instincts that make him such a huge asset.

“He works so hard for the team all the time,” said the Saints boss. “You saw how he won the ball against Paul Pogba on Monday which led to our first goal. He’s a guy who knows how to press so he is our first defender, sometimes our No. 10 and also our goalscorer.”

Brighton boss Graham Potter hailed his former club. The ex-Saints player said: “All credit to Ralph, his staff and the players. They’ve been one of the teams of the season.” SAINTS:
