ALTRINCHAM survived a scare in their National League North play-off eliminator yesterday after 10-man Chester staged a late fightback from 3-0 down.

A brace from Elliot Durrell and one from Josh Hancock (below) had put Altrincham ahead with Chester’s John Johnston sent off.

But they were not finished, with George Glendon and Matty Hughes setting up a nail-biting finish at Moss Lane. Atrincham held on to win 3-2 and now face York City away next Saturday.

Gateshead set up a National League North play-off semifinal against Boston after beating Brackley Town 6-5 on penalties.

Jake Cooper gave Gateshead the lead but Shane Byrne then levelled. Jordan Preston missed a first-half penalty for Gateshead.

Charlie Sheringham got two as Dartford beat Slough Town 3-0 in their National League South play-off. Luke Wanadio sealed it.

Dartford now face Havant & Waterloovi­lle away in the play-off semi-final next Saturday.

In the other National League South eliminator, Dorking Wanderers beat Bath City 2-1 and face Weymouth on Saturday.

NEESKENS KEBANO was head over heels after scoring his first goals in nearly three years.

And now the Congo winger reckons Fulham could be feeling the same way on Wednesday by overturnin­g West Brom and Brentford, and landing in the Premier League.
