Osborne’s in line for Moët double

-

CLIFFS OF CAPRI is fancied to deliver Jamie Osborne backto-back victories in the Moët & Chandon International Handicap (2.25) at Ascot today.

Osborne saddled Raising Sand to lift the seven-furlong contest 12 months ago and has another course specialist in Cliffs Of Capri.

The son of Canford Cliffs has gained two of his six career triumphs at the Queen’s racecourse, and has been at the top of his game in blinkers this year, including when fourth to Motakhayyel in

Royal Ascot’s Buckingham Palace handicap last month. The unbeaten

has plenty going for him in the Listed BetfredTV Pat Eddery Stakes (1.50).

On the back of a winning debut at Windsor in the middle of last month, Owen Burrows’ youngster followed up in the Woodcote Stakes at Epsom three weeks ago – and there is plenty more to come.

Top weight may not anchor in the

Betfred “Nifty Fifty” Handicap (3.00) after Tom Marquand’s mount got his season off to a perfect – if belated – start at Newbury 43 days ago.

The way in which

disposed of four opponents at Haydock Park on his most recent outing points to his chance in the betfred.com Handicap (4.10). Back at 10 furlongs after a step up to 1m4f for Royal Ascot’s Hardwicke Stakes didn’t work out, is taken to defend his title in the Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes (2.40) on the Knavesmire.

David O’Meara (left) has prospects of a TV double via in the Skybet Britain’s Most Popular Online Bookmaker EBF Stallions Fillies’ Handicap (2.05) and in the Sky Bet Club Handicap (3.15).

The Sky Bet Most Extra Place Races Handicap (Div I) (3.50) is a real headscratcher, but

went close off this mark at Haydock a week ago and another good account is in store.
