COMMENTS COST US JOBS

-

Besides posting positive Google reviews by the dozen, Debbie Bligh of Social Buzzing has written a string of vicious negative ones.

She slated Norfolk financial advice firm Brancaster House, saying: “They signed up to use our services... and after two months refused to pay any further.”

Some of her social media associates piled in, with James Barnett writing: “An overall poor experience from start to finish.”

Brancaster House director James Ewles says the comments are revenge after his firm dumped Social Buzzing, which it had employed to manage social media posts.

“There were problems with what they wrote, getting things wrong, we kept going back to correct them, so we pulled the plug.”

He’s complained to Google but says: “Google have been beyond unhelpful, saying they do not interfere with reviews.”

Debbie Bligh also laid into the director of mental health-care provider Renouvoo, writing: “She signed a contract and then broke it.”

Her Social Buzzing colleague Eve Fitzsimmons chipped in: “Very poor service.”

Renouvoo described the reviews as “terribly distressing”, saying that they had briefly been a client of Social Buzzing which decided “to get revenge” after being “called out on their poor work”.

Another firm slated by Bligh is London nanny agency Twinkle Twinkle Nannies.

“Doesn’t provide good customer service at all,” she wrote.

The nanny agency responded that it too had been unhappy with Social Buzzing and so ended its contract.

“The level of the company’s professionalism reflects in her defamatory review,” it wrote.

Same story at London furniture company Hadley Rose, which Bligh called “dishonest” in her review – I’m amazed she hasn’t been sued.

Hadley Rose responded by saying that the comment was retaliation after they dumped Social Buzzing because of its “terrible service”.

Cheshire company LP Roofing got similar nasty treatment after ending its contract with Social Buzzing.

“I’ve lost work because of these reviews,” said director Lee Pinder.

“I’ve tried to get them removed but Google just say they can’t.”
