Maguire sweats over brawl case outcome

FOOTBALLER Harry Maguire is anxiously awaiting the start of his trial over a drunken Greek holiday brawl today.

The £80million Manchester United and England defender, 27, has pleaded not guilty to allegation­s over a bust-up on the holiday island of Mykonos during the early hours of Friday.

Today’s proceeding­s on neighbouri­ng Syros has been threatened by an outbreak of Covid-19 after two City Hall workers tested positive. But court officials are confident it will go ahead after the building was deep-cleaned. Maguire, 27, was one of three men arrested and spent two nights in custody over the incident, where a policeman was allegedly assaulted. He is back in England and will not have to appear in person at the court hearing.
