PARENTS of a 15-year-old girl killed in the Manchester Arena bombing told an inquiry into the attack of their grief yesterday.

The parents of Megan Hurley said their “hearts have been shattered into a million pieces”.

Michael and Joanne added: “Megan was a very caring girl who found joy in helping others.”

The former prom queen of Halewood in Merseyside was described as having the “most beautiful heart and smile”.

Her parents proudly recalled a teacher saying to them: “If we had a school full of Megans, what a school we would have.”

Families of the 22 victims killed by bomber Salman Abedi on May 22, 2017, are giving the inquiry insight into their lives.

HAPPIEST

Another bombing victim was planning to become a mum.

Kelly Brewster, 32, was the “happiest she had ever been” after having an offer accepted on a new home with her partner.

The 5ft insurance claims assessor from Sheffield was known as the “pocket rocket”.

She was planning a family with “soulmate” Ian Winslow.

Her family said in a statement: “We have been robbed of Kelly’s future in the cruellest, most barbaric way.”

Courtney Boyle, 19, of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, was at Leeds Beckett University studying criminology. Her mum Deborah Hutchinson said: “My shy, quiet girl had become a gorgeous woman with a loving, caring nature.”

Comedian Jason Manford said in a video tribute to Martyn Hett, 29, from Stockport: “The world has been robbed of a potential superstar.” The inquiry at Manchester magistrates’ court was delayed by the trial of Abedi’s brother Hashem, who was jailed for at least 55 years. Chairman Sir John Saunders said: “What a waste of so much potential.”
