Jess a quickie...

»After years of love-life dramas,

Jennifer Aniston is no stranger to putting out fires - of the figurative kind.

But this week she was really feeling the heat after her stunt at the Emmy Awards nearly blew up in her face.

Jen was doing a skit where she and host Jimmy Kimmel burned the germs off a winner’s envelope (it’s American humour, what can I say?). After Jen’s first two goes with the extinguisher, they failed to notice they hadn’t actually put it out. Fortunately a more observant crew member saved the day.

It was just as well – Jen’s always been a girl on fire... but in her career, not the flesh. »Strictly contestant Maisie Smith

got a right flap in the face, when she was bitten on the cheek by a seagull trying to steal her fishfinger butty. Although having spent years as EastEnders’ Tiffany, she should be used to dealing with tough birds. She’s Pat Butcher’s great-granddaughter, after all.

Collins has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. YouTube pranksters submitted the application which is being considered. If she doesn’t make the cut she could always go for the Literature Nobel. I hear her tome How To Be A Diva is very thought-provoking (that thought being: g ‘Who Wh would want to read this?’)

Toms Tom’s life story is getting etting m made into a movie ovie – an and he wants Sir Michael Caine Caine, 87, to play pl hi him. It will be quite the challenge for Caine to take on the 100-year-old lockdown hero – as I imagine it would be the first time he’ll have ve to be aged up by the make-up department, in n quite a while.
