Burrows in line to land his first Group 1 win
MINZAAL has the goingplaces profile to give trainer Owen Burrows a first Group 1 win by beating seven rivals for the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes ( 3.00) at Newmarket today.
On the back of a fourth at Ascot in July, the Mehmas youngster scored with ease at Salisbury 15 days later, before stepping up to Group 2 level for the Gimcrack Stakes at York last time out.
It was that race that showed Minzaal’s true potential as Jim Crowley’s mount travelled with ease before beating Devilwala by two lengths. Now in the top tier, this exciting colt can pass the toughest test of his career with flying colours.
