KATIE Price has told how she turned up at The Priory and begged doctors not to let her take her own life.

The reality star and model, 42, spent time at the mental health care facility earlier this year after suffering “severe trauma” at the hands of internet trolls.

But with the support of her loving family, kids and partner Carl Woods, the mum-of-five has turned things around.

The couple both say they are the happiest they’ve ever been after finding each other. Although Carl, 31, says he struggles to understand how Katie deals with the vile abuse she receives online.

Katie said of her stay: “I was in The Priory because it’s a build up of all this s*** that I’ve had, this abuse. It was nothing to do with drink or drugs. It was severe trauma rehabilitation.

“I hit rock bottom and, guess what, I got myself out of that rut because why? It’s all I had d left of ofme me to do.

“I could have gone in a box, in a coffin, in the ground, which was where I wanted nted to be, but because ause I had the kids and I had that little bit of strength in n me to think, ‘ Kate, look what t you can have, what hat y o u ’ v e achieved, get et that energy and re-spark it’.” Katie said that one day she came to the realisation she needed to get help. She went on: “The best thing I did was think, ‘Kate you can do it, youre you’re stron strong, forget everything else’, and I did. d

“I went to The Pri Priory and said, ‘I don’t want to le leave here, I want to be an inpatient, inpati help me to sort out my head, this is i my last chance, I don’t want t to die, I don’t w want to kil ki l l mysel f , help me’. It’s the b best thing I ’ve ’ ve ever done done, I feel so goo good now.”

She added: “That’s why I feel I’ve met Carl now because I know what I deserve, and when I’m happy the ship runs well.”

Katie also spoke of how she takes on the trolls. She said: “When I call them out, I get them saying, ‘It’s only a bit of fun, I thought you could take a bit of fun.’

“But I’m like, ‘ What you said isn’t fun. Fun for who? What about my feelings?”

And Carl adds: “It’s actually quite a serious thing, Kate gets upset about it.”

But Katie says she is in a good place. She said: “I just wish people would think for a second before they write.

“I’ve sorted my head out, I’m happy.” If you’re struggling and need to talk to somebody, the Samaritans operate a free helpline open 24/7 on 116 123.
