VAN READY TO MOVE UP A GEAR

My rides at Newmarket

- RYAN MOORE IN ASSOCIATION WITH

MR TRICK

1.10

I rode him on his debut at Newbury when he didn’t show a great deal, but he was gelded afterwards and he ran a much better race last time, even though he swished his tail late on, so he probably still isn’t entirely straightforward. He is on a fair opening handicap mark though.

KYPRIOS

1.45

The form of his win over an extended 1m at Galway showed us that this halfbrother to

Free Eagle is likely to relish the 1m2f trip and he won’t mind the ground.

VAN GOGH 2.20 (above)

Van Gogh has leading form claims on his Group 2 second to Cadillac at Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend.

He didn’t have to run up to that form when pretty much making all at the Curragh last time, and I think he is fully entitled to be among the favourites here.

WEMBLEY

2.55

This is a Dewhurst full of quality and numbers. There are big dangers wherever you look.

But our two colts are up there form-wise on their placed National Stakes efforts behind Thunder Moon.

We hope there is plenty of improvement to come from St Mark’s Basilica and the same applies to my mount Wembley, who finished a short-head in front of him in that Group 1 at the Curragh last time.

JOVIAL 4.15

She was a little disappointing when I rode her at York in July but she ran much better when fifth at Newbury. She has place claims.

HIGHEST GROUND 4.50

We haven’t seen him since his second in the Dante in July, but there have been no major issues with him. He’s a horse we rate and he doesn’t lack pace.
