Granting our wish for a grand finale

-

THE UNDOING

Sky Atlantic, 9pm THE list of murder suspects is racking up in this gripping whodunnit that stars movie actors Hugh Grant, Nicole Kidman and Donald Sutherland.

Fans have been locked in debate, cooking up conspiracy theories over the past month, as each episode drops just once a week – like in the ‘olden times’.

Tonight the mini-series finally reaches its tense conclusion.

A twisting plot has followed doting dad and top doctor Jonathan Fraser (Grant) as he is accused of bludgeoning a woman to death.

The victim, Elena Alves ( Matilda De Angelis), turned out to be his mistress and the mother of his baby, unbeknown to his wife Grace (Kidman).

Grace has also been in the frame, spotted on CCTV stalking the streets of New York in her fabulous coats, which have won almost as much attention as the show itself.

Some believe that Grace’s mysterious, wealthy father Franklin (Sutherland) could also have had a part to play.

Others have their eye on Grace’s supportive lawyer friend Sylvia (Lily Rabe), who seems to know a hell of a lot more than she’s letting on.

And there’s Elena’s husband Fernando, who has a clear motive and a dodgy alibi.

But then at the end of last week’s episode, Grace only went and found the murder weapon hidden in sweet-as-pie son Henry’s violin case.

Is the killer the scorned wife, the wronged husband, the tortured schoolboy, the protective father, the lover or someone else we never even noticed?

As the courtroom drama mounts, ethics are called into question.

It’s going to be a truly nail-biting finale.
