NIALL HAS MARINE CRUISING

- BY JON WEST

NIALL CUMMINS’ goal had MARINE dreaming of a third round showdown with Liverpool or Everton.

The eighth-tier Merseysiders (above) will host the draw tonight after knocking out HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE of the National League South.

Captain Cummins was self-isolating just days before kick-off. But the striker, 33, was in the pink after forcing home the game’s only goal for the Northern Premier League Division One North West underdogs in extra time.

He said: “It is a dream come true for everyone. That is what we all dream of when you are a kid.”

National League North side DARLINGTON’s dreams were shattered by a 6-0 demolition at BRISTOL ROVERS, where Luke Leahy netted two penalties.

STEVENAGE knocked out 2014’s beaten finalists HULL CITY on penalties after extra time ended 1-1.

Connor Jennings headed STOCKPORT through after keeper Ben Hinchliffe’s penalty heroics. Hinchliffe had saved Luke Wilkinson’s penalty for YEOVIL with the scores level at 2-2 towards the end of normal time.

MANSFIELD feared they would face the same lottery against DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE, and sent on sub keeper Aidan Stone in the 120th minute.

But there was still time for fellow replacement Nicky Maynard to poach the goal that gave the Stags a 2-1 win.

OXFORD CITY of the National League South were also sunk in extra time when sub Dan Udoh scored the only goal at League One SHREWSBURY.

League Two CRAWLEY are in the third round for the first time in eight years after coming from behind to win 2-1 at AFC WIMBLEDON.

Ben Whiteman’s first-half double saw DONCASTER through 2-1 at CARLISLE, while Cameron Jerome scored the only goal for MK DONS at BARNET.
