CARLO: I’LL DECIDE WHO’S PUT ON SPOT

CARLO ANCELOTTI cleared up the confusion over Everton’s penalty-taking duties by insisting: “I decide, not them.” The Italian boss is an avuncular character, staying calm even at the most intense moments. But he is also as tough as teak – his management experience honed in the fire of Serie A.

And he showed his steely side with some tough words, as first Richarliso­n, and then Dominic Calvert-Lewin both seemed to try to take the spot-kick from Gylfi Sigurdsson, who converted rted to give his side victory.

“I have to decide, not them.” em.” said the Everton boss. “Gylfi fi has to shoot the penalty, because it was my decision. n.

“For the first penalty, there was a discussion, but they don’t decide. I choose – and I already did, so there is no question.”

It was unusual, because Gylfi is the penalty taker, he h wanted to give the seco second chance to Dominic. ““But I have said, I have to d decide, not them, I alrea already did decide. So there is no question.”

It didn’t matter as the Tof Toffees held out for a fam famous victory in front of re returning fans.
