A SCHOOLBOY DJ had his teachers in a spin after organising a rave in the boys’ toilets at school.

Cael Bell, 12, was 30 minutes into his set before staff located the source of the banging tunes reverberating through the corridors.

He had promoted the mini nightclub on Snapchat and it was packed with Year 8 lads buzzing off sugar from Lucozade and Cadbury Twirls he handed out.

His mum Louise, 41, got a call from St Anthony’s RC School in Urmston, Gtr Manchester, to say his DJ gear had been impounded, and he was on his way home.

Louise, who took a picture of him coming in, said: “I had to laugh, I couldn’t stay mad because it was a typical Cael thing to do. He wasn’t doing any harm, he just wanted people to have a good time.”

Cael has been obsessed with DJing since the age of six and spends hours practising with brother Conan, 9.

He has been working with dad Alan, 36, a decorator, to raise cash for his hobby.

He was a DJ at parties at his local community centre in Urmston before lockdown.

Louise said: “I know how much he’s missed it, which is why he decided to hold a rave at school.

“He has lights and a Bluetooth speaker which is quite small but really powerful and smuggled them in.

“It sounds as though most of the year group attended so it must have been quite a sight when the teachers came across it.”
