OTI Mabuse has offered to choreograph Bill Bailey’s next comedy tour after they won Strictly Come Dancing.

The pair lifted the Glitterball trophy on Saturday night after the final watched by an audience peaking at 13 million.

Comic Bill – at 55 the oldest ever winner of the

BBC1 contest

– said: “This s ay s to every bloke in their 40s and 50s:

‘ Don’t give up.’ You can get up and dance. You can do more than you can possibly imagine.

“And having the strength and belief can get you there.”

As he left the Strictly studios waving his trophy out of his car window, he said: “It feels like a dream. It’s overwhelming.”

His success has inspired him to keep dancing – but without the exhausting regime.

He said: “I don’t know about the 12 hours’ training a day but certainly I’d love to carry on dancing. It’s so much fun. It’s exhilarating, liberating.” Pro dancer Oti, 30, joked she will be his “creative director” on his En Route To Normal comedy tour next December. Bill said: “Yes, she said, ‘I’ll do your dancing on the next tour.’” It is Oti’s second win after her triumph last year with ex-Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher – making her the first pro to win two in a row. EastEnders star Maisie Smith, 19, blew a kiss as she left the studios after missing out alongside her fel low finalists, TV personality Jamie Laing and singer HRVY. It was the mostwatched show on all channels, with a 53.3% audience share. The Duchess of Cornwall praised Strictly for having “uplifted the nation” when she appeared in a pre- recorded video clip.

This says to every bloke in their 40s & 50s ‘Don’t give up. You can dance’
