Ant’s Christmas proposal to girlfriend Anne-Marie
I’M A Celeb presenter Ant McPartlin has got engaged to his long-term love, Anne-Marie Corbett.
The TV presenter, 45, popped the question at the couple’s home on Christmas Eve.
The newly-engaged pair, who have been dating for three years, shared the happy news with their close friends and family over the festive period.
Ant’s co-presenter Declan Donnelly, 45, was one of the first to know about the couple’s engagement.
A spokesman said: “Ant and Amzie are delighted to announce their engagement.
“The proposal took place on Christmas Eve at home in a very romantic setting.”
The engagement comes after Ant’s 11-year marriage to make- up artist Lisa Armstrong c r umbl e d in January 2018.
The couple, who had been together for 23 years, finalised their divorce last year with a huge £31million settlement.
Ant found love with Anne-Marie, 43, just months after his marriage to Lisa broke down. Friends of the couple say Ant has wanted to propose for a while.
One said: “Ant has been planning this for some time. But he wanted to make sure the moment was just right.
“2020 has been a pretty torrid year for everybody, and this is the happy news that all their friends and family have been waiting for.
“Both Amzie and Ant adore Christmas, and get really into it, so Ant decided to pop the question on Christmas Eve.
“He’s a traditionalist, so he got down on one knee after first checking with Anne
Marie’s family that he had their blessing.
“It was super- romantic, and obviously Anne-Marie said ‘yes’ straight away.”
