YOUR SHOUT

-

Fiona, knowing you through your column, I suspect, like me, that you are feeling sorry for Matt Hancock, the Health Secretary.

It seems he can’t do right for doing wrong. And Piers Morgan is taking advantage – almost bullying him each time he appears on GMB, in an effort to score kudos points.

It’s uncomfortable viewing and I’d love to see how Piers would be coping if he was in a position of Government responsibility and was being treated in a similar way.

Dawn, via email

FP: As Piers was the man who employed me for this page many years ago Dawn, I couldn’t possibly comment. I hear you, though!

PS: don’t let him know I told you, but he’s actually a gentleman in real life (if he likes you). And he adores his mum!

Fiona, these are such depressing times. We can only hope that when this ghastly episode ends, we will all appreciate the small things in life, as well as the big ones, such as being able to go on holiday. I cannot WAIT!

Sue, Lewes, East Sussex FP: Same here, Sue!

I would do anything to get on a plane to laidback Jamaica right now. Fiona, I think I already know the answer to this, but I bet you can’t wait to get back to Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea play to a roaring full-capacity crowd. I know now that I will never take that for granted ever again.

Ron, South London

FP: Yes, Ron, you knew the answer! I am chomping at the bit for a 3pm kick-off on a biting cold Saturday with the roar of the crowd. And a hat-trick of home goals to boot.

Fiona, I wish people would stop moaning and wallowing in despair. Yes, I know many people are going through the mill with this horrible viral invader, but we just have to get on with life.

We must not let it win. We have a duty to the next generation to see it off. Bob, Sheffield

FP: Hurrah for your fighting talk, Bob!
