SWANS SENSE DANGER

- BY IAN MITCHELMORE

SWANSEA boss Steve Cooper is expecting a “dangerous game” as his side continue their promotion push against Huddersfield today.

The Swans are unbeaten in nine Championship matches, the most recent their late 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

The Terriers have not won this year but Cooper (right, with Jay Fulton) said: “I saw them against Middlesbrough, I thought they were excellent in terms of the performance and how they play.

“It’s a dangerous game. You can’t look at league positions, certainly not this season.

“We all know how far Huddersfield is from Swansea – like everywhere is – and they’ve got a day extra of rest.

“We won’t use that as an excuse but it does contribute to being a really tough game.”

MARK ROBINS has warned his Coventry players they risk getting bombed out if they do not stand up and be counted.

And the Sky Blues boss (right) says losing their place in the team will be the least of their problems if they don’t show some grit.

As his side prepare for the visit of second-placed Brentford, Robins was angry at the way they gave the game away in the 2-0 defeat to leaders Norwich in midweek.

Robins said: “We’re giving too many rubbish goals away. You can’t buckle under the pressure. I am looking for character. Let’s see who they are.

“It shouldn’t take us getting into them at half-time to show character because they are playing themselves out of the team.

“And they’ll be playing themselves out of the club if they are not careful.”

Brentford have lost their last two games and Robins added: “Losing two on the bounce means they’ll be coming here like a wounded animal and we need to be the same.”
