REKEEM HARPER says he is hoping struggling Birmingham can dance their way to Championship survival.

The midfielder says Brum’s 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday sparked singing and dancing in the dressing room – and he wants more.

Harper (above) is on loan from West Brom and admits he is desperate to avoid a deadly double of playing for two clubs who may end up going down.

Birmingham face tabletopping Norwich and the 20-year-old says Saturday’s joyous scenes have only made him hungry for more. The Hillsborough win was Birmingham’s first in seven games and helped them jump out of the bottom three.

Harper said: “Norwich are top and confident but we have to forget about reputations.

“The vibe in our dressing room after the Wednesday game is one I haven’t experienced for so long. The atmosphere was incredible.

“George Friend was singing and I was dancing. It was great. We’d love to be feeling the same way after Norwich.”

Canaries boss Daniel Farke said: “Birmingham are a big club and have an experienced coach, and they are fighting against relegation. I’m sure they will finish in mid-table.”

THE sporting summer in England could be played out in front of capacity crowds after the Government set out its road map to recovery yesterday.

The fourth and final step aims to lift all restrictions on sports and entertainment events from June 21 at the earliest, using “enhanced testing” which will be trialled at matches from April. Venues will be able to welcome spectators back on a limited basis at step three of the plan, no earlier than May 17.

At that point, larger outdoor seated venues can let in up to 10,000 people. For smaller outdoor venues this would be capped at 4,000 people.
