INCE MAY BE LUTON’S ANSWER

- Millwall BY IAN BAKER

7.45pm

NATHAN JONES is demanding a Luton reaction tonight following Saturday’s horror show.

The Hatters were hammered 3-0 at Stoke (right) and have dropped to 16th in the table.

They are suddenly just eight points above the bottom three after just one win in seven games. And ahead of tonight’s home clash with Millwall, Jones (left) said: “I want our side to go on but they are going backwards at the moment. “Things need to change quickly in performance level, they need to go full circle. “We cannot afford for Saturday to be repeated. “We have to make sure we are doing the basics right.” Jones is set to make changes and could well bring in Stoke loanee, winger Tom Ince, for his full Luton debut.

Leeds v Southampton Prem, Elland Road, kick-off 6pm

SOUTHAMPTON manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is relishing the challenge of a tactical clash with Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa.

The Austrian (left) takes his team to Elland

Road tonight admitting he and Bielsa are polar opposites in their approach.

The vastly experienced Argentine (right) favours an expansive game geared to attack, while Hasenhuttl employs a more defencebased style – and he expects an intriguing duel.

Hasenhuttl – whose side drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Saturday – said: “Marcelo is a famous and successful manager, and has a completely opposite way of thinking to what I do.

“It is almost black and white.

“They are up against a team that make the priority defending, so it will be interesting.

“But I understand his philosophy, there are many ways to go, not just one.

“Finding solutions will be a challenge for both of us in a league that is tactically of the highest level.

“For me, tactically, this will be one of the more interesting games. “They are one of the most energetic teams in the Premier League and hopefully we can compete with that. The result against Chelsea should give us a lift mentally because we didn’t get what we deserved from the matches before that.”

Hasenhuttl is hoping that Scotland midfielder Stuart Armstrong, missing from the weekend clash, could be available once more.

He added: “It was nothing too serious and he can be an option for the squad against Leeds.”
