YOUR SHOUT

-

Fiona, it’s reported in the Mirror that fly tippers could face prosecution. It should read “will be imprisoned”.

It’s horrendous. A farmer friend reported some in a gateway on his farm and was charged by the council for removing it. That’s just not right. We see lorries in our area collecting fridges etc from people’s houses and have heard children’s toys, especially cycles, have been stolen.

It really needs sorting but another problem is that the “recycling” rubbish tips are so discouraging – that’s if you can get your stuff to them! Barbara Parker, Worcester

FP: Time to bring back the rag and bone men, Barbara!

Fiona, thank you so much for highlighting ADHD last week. My young niece suffers from it and it took my sister years to get help as she could clearly see there was something wrong.

Eventually it was taken seriously and my niece is now on medication and also has coping mechanisms.

It was always interpreted as bad behaviour so it’s a relief she is getting the help that she needs.

Sue, Lancashire

FP: I have personal experience of this in my family, Sue. Some people still think it’s an excuse for bad behaviour. I urge them to look it up and see what the poor youngsters – and adults – affected have to go through. So good that your niece has finally got the help she needs.

Fiona, I wish some people would stop behaving as though they’re the only people affected by this horrible pandemic.

I’m sick of being tutted at if I get anywhere near another person, which is impossible not to do on public transport. We’re all in this together. There are some people who need to remember that.

Isabel Proud, Manchester

FP: Couldn’t agree more, Isabel. There are definitely some who are owning Covid and think they’re the only ones affected. It’s the people that “tut” if you get anywhere near them that get me the most. We’re all in this TOGETHER guys.
