SONNY Bill Williams has called time on rugby to focus on boxing.

Williams switched between the codes during his 17-year career, winning two World Cups in union and NRL titles in league with the Canterbury Bulldogs and Sydney Roosters. He will now concentrat­e on a boxing career that has so far yielded seven wins, including one over highly-rated Frans Botha.

Williams (above) said: “A massive thank-you to the public and fans for all the support over the years. To my team-mates, thanks for the lessons and help.”
