WILLIAM is still “reeling” after his brother’s bombshell Oprah interview, with a Palace insider claiming: “His head is all over the place on it.”

The Duke of Cambridge is said to be “very upset” but still determined to heal his relationship with Harry.

Prince William, 38, was the first royal to hit back at the Sussexes’ racism claims relating to their son Archie, insisting on a school visit with wife Kate: “We’re very much not a racist family.”

William is also said to dispute Harry’s claim that he feels trapped by his royal duty. Calling that comment “way off the mark”, a close friend of both brothers told the Sunday Times: “William has a path set for him and he is completely accepting of his role. He is very much his grandmother’s grandson in that respect.”

It was also claimed he has grown closer to the Queen and Prince Charles.

The senior royals are said to have valued his advice on Megxit, Prince Andrew’s links to the Epstein scandal and the Oprah interview. One courtier said: “That has changed the way the Queen sees him and values his input.”

William is understood to have been at the heart of talks with his grandmother and father in the wake of the shock interview Harry and Meghan gave to Oprah Winfrey earlier this month.

It emerged yesterday that, in the wake of the claims, the Queen is considering appointing a diversity chief at the Palace.

William is said to have been particularly upset by the pair’s launch of the Sussex Royal site. A royal source said: “That was it for William – he felt they’d blindsided the Queen in an insulting and disrespectful way.”

The Sussexes moved to California a year ago and the brothers have not met since, though friends say William wants to mend things. An aide said: “They shared everything about their lives. He’ll miss it.”

A pal added: “It’s still raw. He’s very upset, though absolutely intent that he and Harry’s relationship will heal.”

Harry, who is expected to visit the UK this summer, told Oprah: “Time heals all things, hopefully.” Kensington Palace yesterday declined to comment.

It’s still raw, he is very upset by what happened
