STEVEN GERRARD challenged Alfredo Morelos to set new targets after the Colombian struck his 100th goal for Rangers.
Morelos (above) completed the Ibrox side’s comeback as they won 2-1 at ST MIRREN to move back to the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Gers boss Gerrard (with defender Leon Balogun, right) said: ”From his point of view, fantastic, we’re obviously all very proud of that.
“But, for me, he needs to continue to be hungry and set more targets.”
Connor Ronan gave the home side a shock fourthminute lead but Kemar Roofe levelled from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute and Morelos headed what proved to be the winner a minute later.
Gerrard added: “I’m pleased with the result but it took us 25 minutes to get going. After a game in
Europe, away from home, we’ve got to come out the blocks sharper than we did.
“But, you’ve got to have trust and belief in your players to turn it around.”
HEARTS had moved ahead of Gerrard’s side on goal difference on Saturday after being held to a 1-1 draw at home by DUNDEE. Hearts boss Robbie Neilson said: “The last time the club was in the Premiership,
we won four games all season. It shows how far the club’s come.”
Giorgos Giakoumakis struck his first CELTIC goal as Ange Postecoglou’s side registered a fourthsuccessive win with a 2-0 defeat of ST JOHNSTONE.
Summer signing Giakoumakis said: “It’s an amazing feeling and something I was missing so much.
“I am not a patient guy, so it was a bit difficult waiting to regain fitness. But I worked hard and I’m getting fitter day by day.”
