‘No bad blood from my side ...but I don’t talk to them’

FORMER Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has said it is “sad” she no longer talks to her one-time bandmates but insisted: “There is no bad blood from my side.”

The singer, 30, who quit the girl band in December after nine years, revealed she was still not on speaking terms with Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.

However, Jesy said they shared “the most incredible memories” and their relationship was something which “needs to take time”.

Jesy appeared on BBC1’s Graham Norton Show to perform her debut solo track Boyz.

She said: “We’re not talking any more. It is sad but honestly, there is no bad blood from my side and I still love them to pieces and wish them all the best.

“I loved my time with them and we’ve got the most incredible memories but it’s just one of those things which needs to take time. To me they are still the sickest girl band in the world.”

When asked about future plans, Jesy said: “An album, hopefully next year. I’m still in the writing process and I don’t want to rush things.”

Jesy released Boyz, featuring US rapper Nicki Minaj, earlier this month but the music video prompted accusations of blackfishing – where a nonblack person tries to appear black.

Jesy said she never intended to cause offence and denied using fake tan.

Earlier this month we told how the singer was subjected to “severe online trolling” in the wake of the row and friends feared it was “all getting a bit much”. Jesy, who has previously told how online trolls left her feeling suicidal, has said she hopes “everyone can co-exist” in the industry.

Her comments came after Leigh-Anne’s fiancé Andre Gray appeared to refer to Jesy at his partner’s 30th birthday bash.

The footballer said: “If you’re going to try and disrespect my baby mother, my wife, my fiancée and my children, there’s gonna be a problem.” A source close to Little Mix said Jesy had been hit by a tsunami of abuse after Leigh-Anne accused her of blackfishing.

They added: “The last thing she wanted was to be embroiled in a Little Mix vs Jesy feud.

“The girls have been through a lot and she truly believes everyone can co-exist without the war of words. It’s all getting a bit much.”

It’s just one of those things that needs time... I wish them all the best
