Hull are without Lewie Coyle, Tom Huddleston­e and Alfie Jones but Josh Magennis and Callum Elder have returned unscathed from internatio­nal duty.

Blues’ injury problems have not improved over the internatio­nal break, with only Dion Sanderson (below) likely to return.

READING

Former England striker Andy Carroll could make his Reading debut. Danny Drinkwater, Alen Halilovic and Junior Hoilett should all be in contention.

Luckless Loic Mbe Soh is missing for Forest after a setback in his recovery from injury this week. Jordi Osei-Tutu is also out.

SWANSEA

City have lost Ryan Bennett to a ban but Michael Obafemi is in contention. Blackpool’s injury list includes Richard Keogh, Oliver Casey, Shayne Lavery, Chris Maxwell, Luke Garbutt and Kevin Stewart. Dujon Sterling should be available.

BRISTOL CITY

City boss Nigel Pearson returned to the training pitch this week having recovered from Covid. George Tanner, Andy King and Matty James are all out.

Blackburn are set to give young players a chance with Reda Khadra, Jacob Davenport and Ian Poveda in contention.

HUDDERSFIE­LD WEST BROM

Huddersfie­ld will check on Duane Holmes and Jonathan Hogg. Jordan Rhodes is back in training but is not yet ready to return.

West Brom should have Matt Clarke, Alex Mowatt and Jake Livermore back in the squad, but Kean Bryan and Dara O’Shea are long-term absentees.

MIDDLESBRO­UGH MILLWALL

Chris Wilder will take charge of his first game as Boro boss. Neil Taylor could debut and Matt Crooks is back from a ban.

George Evans could return for Millwall, with Danny McNamara, Sheyi Ojo and Matt Smith also pushing for recalls. Billy Mitchell is a doubt.

PRESTON CARDIFF

Preston could be boosted by the return of Patrick Bauer, Sean Maguire and Alan Browne but Josh Murphy is out. Connor Wickham and Ched Evans are working their way back to fitness.

Cardiff’s Tom Sang could return and Kieron Evans is also set to be fit. Sam Bowen is still sidelined.

Ben Wilmot could start for Stoke but Harry Souttar will miss the rest of the season after suffering an ACL tear on internatio­nal duty.

The Posh have Nathan Thompson available after a ban. Ricky-Jade Jones and Joel Randall are back in training but Jack Marriott is still out.

The Rams will be without the suspended Nathan Byrne and injured Krystian Bielik. Bournemout­h are missing Adam Smith and Jordan Zemura. Jefferson Lerma could feature after he wore a face mask on internatio­nal duty to protect his injured nose.
