Yours, Siobhan DID YOU KNOW?

Please note, if you send us photos of your grandchildren, we’ll also need permission of one of their parents to print them... Thanks!

You can tell me this is a bird all you want, I still think it’s a rabbit on skis in the middle of a jump

I remember my little brother collecting Weetabix tokens for a yellow cereal truck, which we ended up fighting over as we couldn’t physically eat enough of the high fibre bricks to get two. But reader Margaret Gravel in Cambridge has written in about a token prize toy that even predates me. She says: “The pictures of old washing products, Tide, Omo and Sunlight, remind me of my mother-in-law who always used Tide and collected the tokens and sent them away for this little Native American doll.

“She got it for her granddaughter Lydia when she was born, and Lydia is now 60 years

Our house already had a cat flap when we moved in, so I don’t have to get the jigsaw out and potentially lose some fingers when our kitten arrives. But did you know that the 14th century Oriel College building in Oxford University has a Grade 1 listed cat flap?

Judging by the Roman numerals MMIV, planning permission was given 17 years ago to have this very fancy cat flap carved into the wall of the Provost’s lodgings, complete with ledge to keep the rain off and a decorative stone mouse.

Send interesting facts to siobhan.mcnally@mirror.co.uk old. I thought readers would like to see the doll, which we still have, as it would bring back memories.”
