Such a dreadful waste of money
■ With the increasing number of foodbanks trying to keep pace with the unprecedented number of desperately hard-up families in need of assistance, I find the Rebekah Vardy versus Coleen Rooney saga – which has run up £3million in legal fees – nothing short of obscene.
These two women could have sorted out their differences amicably and put this huge sum of money to better use helping the most vulnerable in our society.
This would have enabled them to make a name for themselves for all the right reasons – instead of engaging in a public slanging match.

■ The libel trial between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy has cost £3million, and the seedy revelations have been splashed all over the front pages.
I feel genuinely sorry for Wayne Rooney, whose Derby County team have been relegated to League Three.
He has had to sit cringing in court while matters which should have remained private are shared by the masses.

■ The judge in the Wagatha Christie case has warned both parties of the spiralling legal costs which will far exceed any award made for damages. Perhaps the judge would have done better in ordering both parties to have a penalty shoot-out
instead and save themselves millions in legal costs.

■ I find it quite sickening to learn about the amount racked up in legal fees in the Wagatha Christie trial, especially given that so many in this country are living from hand to mouth. Surely these two women could have sorted out their differences without going to court?
Christine Barber Halesowen, West Mids
■ The so-called Wagatha Christie case does neither of the two women involved any favours at all. Both come across as spoilt, overgrown school girls. Just think of all the good that could be done with £3 million, instead of throwing it away on legal fees. The less we hear about the WAGs in future the better it will be for everyone. Pam Brewer, Manchester
■ I can’t believe the tittle-tattle over who said what and who to in the Wagatha Christie case. If we all took someone to court over some slight, the solicitors would be rubbing their hands with glee. Have these two ladies got nothing better to spend their millions on?
C Smith, Northampton
■ It’s disgraceful that the pampered, over-privileged WAGs Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy have spent upwards of £3million on legal fees suing each other because one upset the other. And this at a time when millions of folk cannot afford to feed their families.
They should both grow up.
