CHELTENHAM 1 May 84 IPSWICH 1 Chaplin 64

CONOR CHAPLIN’S 22nd goal of the season wasn’t enough to help Ipswich claim top spot as their eight-game winning streak came to a halt.

Chaplin appeared to have put Town on course for victory when he poked home in the 64th minute to score Ipswich’s 99th goal of the season.

But a mistake by keeper Christian Walton allowed Alfie May to equalise in the 84th minute.

PORTSMOUTH’S faint play-off hopes have all but disappeared after a draw that did little to boost Morecambe’s survival bid.

The stalemate leaves Derby outside the top six on goal difference while MK opened a four-point gap to the bottom three.

But Rovers turned it around after the break with Lewis Gibson levelling before Grant’s 66th-minute cross drifted into the net.
