IAN EVATT thinks Bolton are hitting form at the right time after clinching fifth place and a play-off clash with Barnsley.

The Trotters boss (right) said: “I think we’re coming to the boil at the right time. We’ve lost one game in the last 10.”

Shola Shoretire put Bolton ahead and Dan N’Lundulu and Aaron Morley restored the lead after Luca Hoole’s equaliser with John Marquis getting Rovers’ late second.

CAMBRIDGE 2

Dunk 25, Smith 37

FOREST GREEN ROVERS 0

MARK BONNER admits he went through agony before Cambridge’s dramatic final-day survival was confirmed.

Goals from Harrison Dunk and Sam Smith clinched the win, but they still needed MK Dons and Morecambe to slip up.

U’s boss Bonner said: “Let’s be honest, that was horrible because you’re relying on everybody else.

The whole place was refreshing their Twitter every 10 seconds!

“I’m so pleased we’ve managed to do it because everybody deserves it.”

EXETER CITY 3

Stansfield 49, 57, 70

MORECAMBE 2

Stockton 53, 90+14

JAY STANSFIELD’S hat-trick condemned Morecambe to relegation.

The Exeter striker (right) scored either side of Cole Stockton’s equaliser, then extended the lead before Stockton struck again in added time.

Shrimps boss Derek Adams said: “Cambridge were 2-0 up, and knowing that meant we definitely needed to win the game. We found it difficult after they got their second because we were chasing the game.”

OXFORD UNITED 1

Bodin 8

ACCRINGTON STANLEY 2

Adedoyin 64, Pressley 85

JON COLEMAN admitted a final-day win could not mask relegated Accrington’s failings this season.

Korede Adedoyin and Aaron Pressley (right) scored for Stanley after Billy Bodin put Oxford ahead.

Accrington boss Coleman said: “If we had won last week we would have been up, but over the course of the season we haven’t been good enough. So we have to accept it with dignity and get ourselves back on an even keel.”

BURTON ALBION 0

MK DONS 0

MARK JACKSON admitted his Milton Keynes players were gutted after failing to get the victory that would have kept them up.

Jackson’s side could not find a winner despite having 31 attempts on goal and the MK manager said: “It’s heartbreaking for everyone involved. We are extremely down and gutted.

“Words can’t describe how we feel at the moment.

“It’s a really disappointing end to the season. We knew we had to come here and win the game.”

CHELTENHAM 2

Keena 50, May 88

CHARLTON 2

Fraser 34, Payne 83

DEAN HOLDEN insists the hard work starts now for Charlton after wrapping up a 10th-place finish.

The Addicks twice took the lead through Scott Fraser and Jack Payne, but Cheltenham replied with efforts from Adam Keena and Alfie May (left).

Charlton boss Holden said: “The next couple of weeks is going to be really intense, in terms of driving the recruitment and stuff around the training ground, to improve for next season. The hard work starts now.”

LINCOLN CITY 1

Virtue 73

SHREWSBURY 0

STEVE COTTERILL admits his Shrews future is uncertain after hearing about the club’s approach for Cheltenham’s director of football Mickey Moore second-hand.

Boss Cotterill said: “The answer is no, I cannot shed any light on it. That is the honest answer, someone sent me a link, maybe I am not that important. There is a restructure going on and I do not quite know what that entails.”

Matty Virtue’s goal ensured Lincoln ended with a win. Chey Dunkley was sent off for Shrews at the death.

PORTSMOUTH 2

Pack 44, Lane 72

WYCOMBE 2

McCleary 31, Wing 54

WYCOMBE boss Matt Bloomfield insists Lewis Wing’s 40-yard wonder-strike came as no real surprise. Wing’s long-range effort restored Wycombe’s lead after Garath McCleary’s goal had been cancelled out by Marlon Pack before Paddy Lane salvaged a draw for Portsmouth.

Bloomfield said: “He just has that and whilst it was an amazing goal, we’re not that surprised, to be honest, as he produces moments like that all the time in training.”
